    FAQ

    What is the Consultation Process?

The client may choose to discuss the project via email or by setting up an appointment and meeting in person.

What is the Usual Design Process?

When the project is commenced, the client provides all pertinent information and elements such as design requirements and preferences, related images, copy, and samples of work liked.
Upon receipt of a 50% deposit, the creative process is started, the artwork is created, and emailed to the client for review.
The design is then refined to client requests and the artwork emailed to the client for finalization.
Once the balance due on the project is received, the artwork is turned over to the client in the required file formats.

    What is the Turnaround Time?

Turnaround time depends on the extent of the client's project and the designer's current workload. SimpleCreative does its best to meet client demands, but since projects usually take longer than estimated, specific deadlines cannot be guaranteed. Project  time frame is also dependent on how soon the client provides the necessary content and/or files, as well as feedback on work in progress.

    How is the Artwork Received?

Files are usually provided as PDF, PNG, GIF, JPG and/or TIFF. Original artwork in .AI and .PSD remains property of SimpleCreative and may be provided to client upon arrangement.  All files are usually emailed.

What are the Artwork Ownership Rights?

Upon receipt of full payment for the project, the client is entitled to 100% ownership of the artwork.

How is the Pricing Structure Developed?

Pricing is based on the time involved from the consultation, through the creative process, to completion, at a rate of $75 to $90 per hour. SimpleCreative's affordable pricing is geared toward the small business owner or startup. If a higher level of service is desired, more concepts and revisions can be provided at the hourly rate.

    Is the Deposit Refundable?

The deposit would be refundable only if work on the project has not commenced.

What Forms of Payment are Accepted?

Cheques, cash, or direct transfer to Vancity. Visa and Mastercard are accepted via PayPal. Often clients pay the deposit via PayPal which is later refunded upon receipt of total invoice amount in one cheque.

What if the Client Doesn't Like Any of the Designs?

A designer is usually chosen based on impressions, referrals, portfolio and pricing. Pricing is commonly reflective of the level of service provided. If the client does not like the artwork created within the set price scale, further artwork can be created at additional hourly fees.

    Project Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation or any client delay of more than 30 days,  the balance is due on all work created to date that the client has received.  If the balance owing is not sumitted within 14 days, all work created to date remains property of SimpleCreative, and may or may not be available should the project be resumed at a later date.
